Everbrink Privacy Policy
Effective: October 17, 2026 (version 1.0)
Operator: Impachi Inc.
In short
- Everbrink sends a record of each run (actions, results, time taken) and the name of your operating system to Impachi so we can improve the game. It never includes your name, email address, Steam ID or anything else that identifies you or your device.
- You can stop this at any time in the game under Settings › General › “SEND GAMEPLAY DATA”. It is set to “On” by default.
- We use the data only to fix bugs, balance the game and understand which operating systems people play on. We never sell it or use it for advertising.
1. Scope
This policy applies to the PC game “Everbrink” (full version), “Everbrink Demo” (the demo) and any beta or test builds of either, all published by Impachi Inc. (“we”, “us”). The full version and the demo send the same kinds of information and offer the same way to turn sending off.
Information we collect on our official website (https://impachi.games) is covered in section 12. Information collected by the Steam platform itself is governed by Valve Corporation’s privacy policy (section 13).
2. Who we are and how to contact us

3. What the game sends
The game sends a record of each run once, when that run ends. Nothing is sent when you leave a run in progress with “Save and quit to title” or when you close the application. If you later abandon a saved run and start a new one, the record of the abandoned run is sent at that point, marked as abandoned.
The record contains:
| Category | What it is | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Run record | The kind and order of every action you took (end turn, move, attack, play a card, use a tome, draft picks, event choices, trades with merchants, and so on); the IDs of the cards and units involved; board coordinates; the chapter, phase and turn number at the time of each action; your leader’s HP and total Prisma at the end of each turn | play_card / C_BUCKLER_R1 / [3, 5] |
| Run outcome | The chapter and phase you reached; how the run ended (victory, leader fell, collapse, gave up, abandoned, etc.); the leader you chose; the run seed (an 8-character code, shown in the game as “Seed”); the depth (difficulty) setting; the list of nodes you have unlocked on the Restore Board; the state of the Abyss Gate; your Custom Game configuration (full version only) | player_win / L_ALETHEA / CMA1DJWF |
| Time taken | Time elapsed since the run started; the elapsed time at each action (milliseconds); how long each phase took (seconds). It does not include the time of day | 15230 / 412 |
| Operating system name | Windows, macOS or Linux, without the version | Windows |
| Build information | The game’s version number; a build identifier (source code revision); CI build number; the Steam branch the build was published to; whether it is the full version or the demo; a hash of the game data; the record format version | 0.1.0 / b25afc2 / demo |
| Run identifier | A UUID generated at random for each run. It is not linked to your account, your device or any other run | 6f1c… |
In addition, because this is an internet transmission, your IP address passes through the network of our hosting provider (Cloudflare, Inc.). Our software does not read your IP address and does not record or store it. Cloudflare’s network may handle it transiently as part of delivering the connection (section 7).
4. What the game does not send
The game does not send:
- Your name, email address, phone number or postal address
- Your Steam ID, Steam account name, Steam friends, or Steam achievements and stats
- Your device name, model name, hardware identifiers, advertising IDs or MAC address
- Your Windows / macOS user name, file paths, or operating system version
- Performance information about your device such as GPU and memory, frame rate, or the time the run ended (the time our server received the record is recorded on the receiving side, as described in section 7)
- Your language or region settings (used only inside the game)
- Your location
- Cookies
- Crash reports (the game writes crash logs to a folder on your device only; it does not send them to us)
- Save data or settings files (syncing to Steam Cloud is Valve’s service and does not involve our servers; see section 13)
- Any identifier for you, your account or your device other than the per-run identifier, including hashes of such identifiers
5. Why we use it
We use the data only to:
- Find and fix bugs, and track down malfunctions that occur only on certain operating systems
- Balance the game (cards, units, difficulty, rewards)
- Understand the spread of operating systems among players
- Produce aggregate statistics for the above and share them within the development team
We do not sell or rent the data. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not let third parties use it for their own purposes. We do not build a profile of you and do not make automated decisions about you.
6. How to turn sending off (opt out)
Sending is on by default. You can turn it off at any time:
- Open Settings in the game (from the title screen, or from the menu that opens when you press Esc on the board).
- On the General tab, set “SEND GAMEPLAY DATA” to “Off”.
After that, no further run records are sent. A few details worth knowing:
- Whether a run is sent is decided at the moment the run ends, using the setting at that time. If you start a run with sending off and switch it on before the run ends, that run is sent; if you switch it off mid-run, it is not.
- Runs that ended while sending was off are never sent later.
- “Reset to Defaults” in Settings resets this option to “On”, like every other setting. The change is visible on screen.
- The full version and the demo store their settings separately. Turning it off in one does not carry over to the other.
- When you play through Steam, this setting is carried to your other PCs on the same Steam account through Steam Cloud.
- With sending off, the game still keeps your most recent 50 run records in a folder on your device (section 10). These stay on your device and are not sent to us.
Everything in the game works the same whether sending is on or off.
7. Where the data goes, service providers and international transfers
The data is received, stored and analyzed using the services of the providers below. Each acts as a processor on our behalf and does not use the data for its own purposes.
| Provider | Role | Data handled | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Receives the transmission and stores the original record (a compressed JSON file) | Everything in section 3, plus the time of receipt that our software attaches; your IP address also passes through its network as part of the connection | United States company. Requests are handled at servers worldwide; the storage location is determined by Cloudflare’s service |
| Google LLC (Google Cloud / BigQuery) | Database in which records are organized into tables and analyzed | Everything in section 3, including the original record, plus the date of receipt | Database located in Japan (Tokyo region); United States company |
| GitHub, Inc. (Microsoft Corporation) | Orchestrates the jobs that organize the records into tables | Job logs (run identifier, build identifier, success or failure). The records themselves are processed on our own equipment | United States |
| Anthropic, PBC | AI assistant (Claude) that helps with aggregation and analysis | The results of queries and aggregations run by our analysts | United States |
We are a Japanese company and we do our analysis in Japan, but as shown above, part of the data is stored and processed by providers outside Japan (including in the United States). We use these providers under the data processing terms each of them publishes.
We do not disclose the data to any other third party except where required by a lawful request.
8. How long we keep it
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Original records (stored with Cloudflare) | 3 years from receipt |
| Analysis database (Google BigQuery) | 60 days from import (deleted automatically; re-imported from the originals when needed) |
| Working copies on our own equipment during processing | 30 days |
| Job logs (GitHub) | 90 days |
| Aggregate statistics that contain no individual runs | No limit |
9. Legal basis
If you live in Japan: we handle the data the game sends for the purposes in section 5 and publish those purposes in this policy. The data in section 3 does not contain information that identifies you as an individual.
If you live in the EU, the EEA or the United Kingdom: our legal basis for processing the data the game sends is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests). Our legitimate interest is fixing defects in the game and improving its balance. We limit the impact on your rights and interests by excluding identifying information from the data and using only a random per-run identifier. You may object to this processing at any time by turning sending off as described in section 6.
The laws of your country may require consent for sending device information (the operating system name). We are continuing to review this point and will update the in-game notice and this policy as needed.
We have no establishment or representative in the EU. If you live in the EU, the EEA or the United Kingdom, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in your country.
10. Your rights and how to exercise them
You may ask us to disclose, correct, delete or stop using information we hold about you. However, because the data the game sends contains no identifier that points to you, we cannot by ourselves tell which records are yours. This is by design.
If you want a record deleted, send us the run identifier (run_id) of the run concerned using the contact details in section 2. You can find it in the file names (<identifier>.replay.json) in this folder on your device:
- Windows:
%APPDATA%\Godot\app_userdata\Everbrink\replays\(Everbrink Demofor the demo) - macOS:
~/Library/Application Support/Godot/app_userdata/Everbrink/replays/(Everbrink Demofor the demo)
Given a run identifier, we will delete the matching record from the originals we still hold. The analysis database does not support deleting individual records, so deletion there takes effect through the 60-day automatic expiry. We cannot act on requests for records whose identifier we do not have, because we have no way to locate them.
We aim to respond to requests within 30 days.
11. Children
Everbrink is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The data the game sends contains no age or account information, so we have no way of knowing a player’s age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a record from a child under 13 has been sent to us, please contact us as described in section 10.
12. Our website (impachi.games)
Our official website collects the following:
- Contact form: your name, email address, the category of your enquiry and your message. To answer and keep a record of your enquiry, these are delivered to our mailbox (via the email delivery service Resend, Inc., United States) and to our internal Discord workspace (Discord Inc., United States). They remain in our mailbox and Discord as a record after we have replied.
- Submission rate limiting: to prevent repeated submissions, your IP address is used only to count submissions over a 60-second window. We do not store it.
- Hosting: the site is served by Cloudflare, Inc. As part of delivering the site, Cloudflare’s network handles connection information such as your IP address.
- Traffic statistics: we may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies, to measure page views and similar statistics. These statistics do not identify you.
- Links to other sites: we link to the Steam store page, X (formerly Twitter) and Discord. Those services’ own policies apply once you follow a link. Links to Steam may carry a marker (UTM parameters) showing which page you came from.
The website does not use cookies for tracking and does not collect information for advertising.
13. Steam
Everbrink is distributed on Steam. Information that the Steam platform collects and holds about your account, purchases, achievements, friends, cloud saves and so on is governed by Valve Corporation’s privacy policy (https://store.steampowered.com/privacy_agreement/).
The game syncs its settings file and save data to Steam Cloud. That is storage on Valve’s service; nothing is sent to our servers. The game never uses your Steam ID or Steam account information in the transmission described in section 3.
The game may open the Steam store page, for example from the demo’s ending screen, but only when you choose to.
14. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when we change what the game sends or what we use it for, or to reflect changes in the law. When we do, this page will show the new effective date and a summary of the changes. Significant changes, such as adding new kinds of data to the transmission, will also be announced with the corresponding game update.
