Today we’re announcing Impachi’s first game, Everbrink, and its Steam store page is now live.
When we announced the studio, I wrote that I wanted our first game to be a strategy game. Everbrink is that game.
What is Everbrink?
Everbrink is the 4X roguelike deckbuilder where you shatter the enemy stronghold before the crumbling ground runs out, join the next floating island to yours, and survive. Explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate, all through your cards.
The game takes place on islands floating in the sky. Every turn, the ground crumbles away behind you. Summon units and build structures from your hand, cut down the enemies closing in, and push toward the enemy stronghold at the far end of the island. Bring it down, and you choose the next island from a set of candidates and join it to the far edge of the land you have left. The structures you built and the terrain you changed stay right where they are.

The Collapse keeps coming. What do you go after, what do you let go of, and what do you leave standing for the next island?
You can’t save it all.
It’s a game that makes you face that choice every turn. The Everbrink page walks through how it plays, feature by feature.
What’s next
Everbrink is coming to Steam Early Access in 2027. Add it to your wishlist on the Steam store page, and Steam will let you know when it launches.
Bit by bit, I’ll write more here in the Chronicles about what’s in the game and how we came to make a game like this. Stay tuned.
