Explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate, all through your cards.
Steam (Windows / macOS) Early Access 2027
Push forward to survive
Your goal is to survive as the ground falls away, with the paladin Alethea and her companions at your side. Play cards from your hand to summon units such as elves and Cerberus, and put structures and spells to work. Cut down the skeletons and zombies closing in, and bring down the enemy stronghold. The floating island you fight on crumbles away behind you every turn and keeps shrinking, but destroy the stronghold and you can join a new island to yours, making it bigger. To survive, you have to keep pushing forward.

FAQ
- I've never played a 4X game or a deckbuilder. Can I still play it?
- Yes. The heart of the game is summoning units from your cards, cutting down enemies, and bringing down the enemy stronghold to join the next island, and you can get started without knowing the conventions of 4X games or deckbuilders. The Gameplay page explains how to read the board and how a turn plays out.
- Is it hard?
- With the Collapse closing in from behind, digging in and waiting rarely works, so you'll need to decide when to push forward. In return, each visible enemy's next move is shown in advance and the tiles about to fall light up with a warning, so it's easy to look back at the board and see why you lost.
- Is there any luck involved?
- Attacks never miss, and you can work out the damage you'll deal from the numbers on the board. On the other hand, luck does play a part in the order you draw cards, the options offered for rewards and Events, and whether an Event succeeds, and the odds of success are shown on screen.
- Can I play without reading the story?
- Yes. The story is scattered in fragments through the text of Events on the board and the words that accompany relics and more, and whether you gather them up is up to you. The World page covers the world's background and Alethea's story.
- When can I play?
- We're planning to release Everbrink in Early Access on Steam in 2027. Add it to your wishlist on its Steam store page, and you'll get a notification when it launches.
